Ongoing long-term visual document of the failure of Western Governments to show compassion or humanity towards people escaping war, economic hardship, torture or a combination of all three at the border between France and the United Kingdom. This work is made to highlight Western culpability and irresponsibility, in conjunction with Just Shelter, an Earlsfield based charity which aims to raise awareness, harness compassion and deliver support where possible. Images taken periodically in camps in and around Calais and Dunkirk between 2015 and 2019. (Click on images and scroll through.)
